Sad Africa

I have been reading a lot of news lately about the stuff going in the Sudan. Bad stuff. Women and girls being raped by militiamen. Then they end of having babies that are the product of these rapes. And in their culture, women who are raped are blamed for it and often cast off by their husbands.

What a fucked up world we live in. So much really, really bad stuff and so much really, really great stuff.

I feel so sheltered, so protected and safe here in my suburban bubble where my children grow up healthy, well-fed and educated, with lots of toys and lots of friends to play with. And there are so many children who get dealt a fucked up hand. Why?

It is sad! I was reading how it's these Islamic radicals doing it to these women so they will have mixed babies. That is horrible!

What about that lady in Alabama that starved her 3 children. Horrible shit happens to kids here in the U.S.A. too. I can't imagine how or why someone would do that to a child or a human at all.

Not so bad living in suburbia is it? The world is a menacing place to be raising children. The prospects seem bleak sometimes.

From an Islamic point of view, women are almost meant to be purcased, consumed and even traded. A muslim can get married during transition as a soldier, businessman, preacher or a trader. A man can divorce his wife by just saying the word "Talaak" only three times. No wonder rape is not a crime from their point of view. One can, therefore, understand the root cause of this sickness. But, the saddest part of the whole game is that women in the worst of Islamic countries have never risen in revolt till date. May be it is our own mindset.
