Boys who don't cling

Thank the Lord for boys who don't cling to me. Toddlers who are self-confident and are willing to try out new things and new people. I left my boys with a neighbor this morning for one hour while I ran an errand. They did not even look back over their shoulders as they ran into her playroom yelling "Bye Mama, bye Mama!"

I done good. For clingy children would surely be the end to me.

Good job! I am not sure how we made a non-clinger child ourselves. The boy seems to be pretty independent and has never had anxiety when we left him with friends or family. He is an only child as of now! Maybe it has something to do with the love that we have for outdoors and adventure. He wants the same!

My sister-in-law had a daughter about a month before we did and she is a whiny brat. I know she's my niece and everything, and she's adorable but very clingy! Her mom pampers her and lets her walk all over her. We never allow our son to dictate what we are going to do. I'm sure there are times it happens but as a whole its very seldom. My son is great and full of adventure. Not sure what I would do if he was a clingy bastard. He is the shit and it seems like your children are on the right path.

I have non-clingy kid here, too. I'm glad she's not clingy...her independent streak will help her out tremendously in the future, given her "special" circumstances. It really catches me off guard on the odd occasion that she does freak out when I leave her, though. I am so not used to that!
